- Define the terms speed, velocity and uniform acceleration.
- Recall and apply the formula of average speed and acceleration into new scenario.
- Calculate the area under a velocity-time graph to determine the displacement for motion with uniform velocity or uniform acceleration.

- Apply concepts from critical angle and total internal reflection in different scenarios and describe the use of these concepts in optical fibres.
- Understand the relationship between focal length and focal point of a converging lens.
- Illustrate the formation of real and virtual image of an object by a thin converging lens through ray diagrams.
- Describe the characteristics of images formed by a thin converging lens using terms such as virtual/real, magnified/diminished and upright/inverted.
